This adapter plate mounts between the manifold and engine head and allows for a smooth transition from the older style manifold with large intake and exhaust ports to the new style head in which the intake and exhaust ports are considerably smaller in size. How Do I Know Which New Marine Engine Fits My Boat?
Selecting the correct replacement marine engine is important because many boats were offered with different engine packages, horsepower ratings, fuel systems, and accessory configurations.
The easiest way to ensure you receive the correct engine is to provide your engine serial number, model number, or existing engine information when requesting a quote.
Our marine engine specialists can help identify the proper replacement for your application.
Helpful information includes:
✔ Engine Serial Number
✔ Engine Model Number
✔ Boat Year, Make & Model
✔ Engine Manufacturer (MerCruiser, Volvo Penta, OMC, Crusader, etc.)
✔ Horsepower Rating
✔ Fuel System (Carbureted or Fuel Injected)
✔ Existing Engine Part Numbers (if available)
Our experienced team verifies application information before your engine ships to help ensure a smooth installation.

What Comes With a New Marine Engine?
Our new marine engines are professionally assembled using brand-new components and are built to meet or exceed original equipment specifications.
Depending on the engine package you purchase, your engine may include a complete long block or base engine assembly. Many external accessories—including intake components, carburetors, fuel injection systems, alternators, starters, manifolds, and other bolt-on components—are typically transferred from your original engine unless otherwise specified.
If you're unsure what is included with your engine package, our marine specialists are happy to review the components included before you place your order.

What's the Difference Between a New Marine Engine and a Remanufactured Marine Engine?
Both new and remanufactured marine engines provide excellent replacement options, but they differ in how they are manufactured.
A new marine engine is built entirely with brand-new components and has never been previously installed or operated. It offers the highest level of reliability and eliminates concerns about previous wear.
A remanufactured marine engine is completely disassembled, thoroughly inspected, precision machined, and rebuilt using new replacement components to meet or exceed original equipment specifications.
Both options provide dependable performance, but customers who want the confidence of all-new components often choose a new marine engine for their replacement project.

Are Your New Marine Engines Tested Before Shipping?
Yes. Every new marine engine supplied by Eagle Engine Sales undergoes strict quality control procedures before being approved for shipment.
Each engine is professionally assembled using premium-quality components and manufactured to meet or exceed original equipment specifications. Before shipping, engines are carefully inspected to verify proper assembly and overall quality.
Our goal is to provide every customer with a marine engine that delivers dependable performance, long service life, and reliable operation from the very first start-up.

Can I Replace My Marine Engine Without Replacing Everything?
In many cases, yes.
Many replacement marine engines are designed to reuse existing external components from your original engine, including accessories such as the intake system, manifolds, starter, alternator, fuel system components, brackets, and other bolt-on parts depending on your specific application.
Our marine engine specialists can help determine which components can be reused and which parts should be replaced during installation to ensure the best long-term reliability.

Do You Ship New Marine Engines Nationwide?
Absolutely.
Eagle Engine Sales ships new marine engines throughout the United States every day.
Whether your engine is being delivered to your home, marina, dealership, or marine repair facility, every engine is securely packaged on a protective pallet to help ensure safe transportation.
We can also arrange worldwide shipping for customers outside the United States.

Can You Help Me Find the Correct Replacement Marine Engine?
Yes.
Our experienced marine specialists work with boat owners, marinas, dealerships, and marine repair facilities every day to identify the correct replacement engine.
Simply provide your engine serial number, model number, or existing engine information, and we'll verify the correct replacement before your order ships.
