What “Remanufactured” Really Means

A true remanufactured engine is NOT the same as “used” or “rebuilt.” A remanufactured engine, often called a “reman,” is an engine that has been meticulously restored to like-new condition using a combination of reused, repaired, and new parts. Unlike a simple rebuild, which might only address specific worn-out components, remanufacturing involves a comprehensive process that brings the engine back to original factory specifications—or sometimes even better.

Understanding Our Core Policy

All Eagle Engine units have a core and skid charge billed at the time of sale
To schedule your core return, please contact us at (800) 811-9328
When a good core is returned, your core deposit will be refunded back to you
The core returned must be a like-for-like Make, Model and Type, but not a junkyard core
Returned cores must be returned drained of all fluids and oil, assembled and attached to the same undamaged skid or container in which your remanufactured automotive engine was shipped
The core must be returned within 60 days of the delivery date in order for you to receive credit
Full credit will be given unless certain damages and exceptions noted in our core policy are found
